The Series
Chloé, 24, is stuck in a dreary routine, juggling her veterinary studies with a job as a cashier. Lacking self-confidence, she faces pressure from her parents, who dream of seeing her married, and from a society that expects her to succeed professionally and become financially independent.
Her only escape? The Bad As vlog, which she follows religiously. Free-spirited, adventurous and unconstrained by convention, these girls embody another way of life in her eyes: getting back to nature, travelling without money and helping one another.
On Christmas Eve, everything changes. Her boss catches her watching her favourite vlog and fires her. Right afterwards, Mathis, her boyfriend, dumps her by text. Devastated, Chloé gets into her car and stops at a convenience store… where she comes face to face with the Bad As in the middle of a robbery — armed with a banana!
Before she knows it, she is swept into a getaway with her heroines and a mysterious hitchhiker, aboard her tiny car decked out in the colours of an aperitif brand. They are all running from something: a grey everyday life, authoritarian parents, a dangerous ex, a botched robbery…
Their escape takes an unexpected turn when, without realising it, they find themselves at the heart of a social-media livestream called Cops or Crooks, which will soon turn them into public enemies No. 1.
Despite their differences, they will have to learn to stick together. This road trip, which becomes a journey of self-discovery, will bring them face to face with ordeals, enemies… and themselves.
They set out to run away.

Characters
Chloé is stuck in a dreary routine, divided between her veterinary studies and her job as a cashier. She lacks self-confidence and faces pressure on two fronts: from her parents, who want to see her married, and from society, which expects her to succeed professionally and become financially independent.
Intelligent and observant, Anaïs is independent, determined and readily sarcastic. Behind a tough exterior, she hides great sensitivity. Passionate about environmental issues, she is prepared to go very far to stand up for her beliefs.
Firmly grounded — in her fishing boots — Paq is intelligent, witty and deeply committed. A former television production assistant, she came up with the idea of creating the Les Bad As vlog, bringing Aby along for the adventure.
Aby — Abigaëlle, named after her Guadeloupean grandmother — is a woman of action. Her shyness can sometimes come across as coldness, but behind that reserve is a generous young woman who is always there for others. An artist at heart, she has a genuine talent for singing and dancing.
Aby has been through a lot, particularly with a local gangster she once lived with on a housing estate. But she hasn't had her last word. Over the course of the adventure, she will take back control of her life and get her revenge in exhilarating fashion.

The Author
As a child, I had a fertile imagination. I wrote stories, had my friends act them out and organised treasure hunts with riddles. Music also made me come alive, and I wanted to make a living from it. That is why I became a television screenwriter and a violinist.
After contributing to several successful series, as well as helping to develop series for young audiences, I wanted to write my own stories. But while keeping the visual, fast-paced quality and the music of words!
As an author, I have written around twenty novels: women’s fiction, historical fiction, science fiction, comedies and socially engaged romances (MM, FF). Inclusivity is very close to my heart.
